Most is gone in 72 hour's, but withdrawal will last at least 5 day's and you will wish you were dead.....don't try it without someone who can stay with you for the duration. You'll need someone to get you water and empty the bucket you'll be pissing into. Take a lot of hot bath's, it's the only thing that helps with the pain; but you'll need help to get in and out of the bath.
