Well if you practice a lot and you stretch before trying it then it will become easier as you go along. But to practice to a split you can do it in front of the TV when you are watching. It worked for me. I have all of my splits. Left, right, and middle
I've only been doing gymnastics for 2 years, and I can do 85 steps on my hands. If you practice, it won't take long. I could do around 30 steps before a year. It might depend on the person and how much balance they have, but it really does not take that long.
its easier when you point your toes and keep your legs straight pretty much all you have to do is stretch yourself properly and frequently and once you get it you have to keep doing it or else you will lose it. and you can extend you flexibility by putting one foot on a mat and the other on a floor. if you keep doing this it will eventually become muscle memory and it will become easier. all you have to do is stretch it depends how flexible you already are to how easy it will come to you or how quickly youll be able to do it one of my friends stretch like crazy and did it in a recess period when i was younger but shes a dancer as for me im in gymnastics and i still havent gotten the splits im like 3 inches away from it but that's cuz i don't stretch outside of training just make sure you stretch a lot just make sure you do it properly and don't push yourself or you might pull something and it hurts like no other when you have to stretch through a pulled muscle. youll eventually get there all it takes is time
about 2 months. you have to work on your flexibility everyday, it usually works better in the morning and at night. Some people find that after a hot bath your muscles are more relaxed, and there for makes it easier to stretch. remember to do other stretches before you attempt the splits because you don't want to strain yourself.
It depends on how close you are but mainly it just takes practice got mine in 5 years practicing every day but I'm only 1 person .I'm sure other people got theirs faster.

i s-disagree !! you should just stretch your legs for a long time and try to do the splits. Continue this for 3-4 weeks then you will probily be able to do them :)

Well first before you do anything you must stretch. Do stretches such as pointing your feet, circle your legs in a butterfly motion, stretch your calf's and thighs. It's possible, Just keep practising doing the splits and you should be able to do it. The more you stretch for the splits the more further down you can get. Maybe practising daily would help. For instance if you stretch daily so that's like 7 x 4, That's 28 days, You would get alot more flexible. That's not exactly a long time to learn the splits, But it's not like it's impossible. All my advice would be is to stretch first and then practice daily. Maybe you could Google some stretches that will help your flexibility? Perhaps that would work - Anyway, I wish you luck at doing the splits.

Stretch every day, you can not do the splits if you are not flexible enough. So, as i said just stretch and don't be impatient.
