I'd imagine the first indication would be hunger, followed by dehydration and lack of water intake. At best, depending on catalytic factors, a week.
What most people mean by fasting is abstaining from everything but water. In that case, fasts lasting up to 90 days are possible. However I would assume that in some cases less time than that would be sufficient to kill a person. I think you could safely fast for 45 to 60 days, unless hunger returns sooner than that.

∙ 14y agoActually, doing so you would not die of starvation. The body can go for about 3 weeks without a single drop of food. Though this is deadly and dangerous, it can be done. The human body can only go for about 3 days without any water or liquids. More than that (within 5 to 7 days), you would be dead of dehydration.
