This really is a simple answer. Check your pool pump rate, given in GPH (gallons per hour) then divide the GPH by 17000. Example: Pool pump rated @ 1200gph 17000÷1200=14.17 hours
Depends on your pump and the resistance your pipes and equipment offers to the flow of water. Ideally you want to filter your total volume in 8 hours.
