Well you may not get sick at all. In order to get sick your immunity must be lowered. Eating moldy food is primarily the cause. Avoid eating crackers, and penut butter. Dried fruit should be soaked in vitimin C. Tea can be moldy if purchased in bags. Pure genuine maple syrup has deadly aflatoxin and other molds. Grains are often moldy.

When you're in an environment of sick people, or feel like your getting sick, go on a mold free diet for 24 hours, don't eat one questionable item:1 or 2 eggs, rinse them before cracking them (the exterior of the egg has salmonella); hash brown potatoes; pancakes or waffles with artificial maple syrup made with brown sugar and vitamin C; 1 cup herp tea with vitamin C, cinnamon, or other spice; water with a tsp. of vinegar and honey; soup without noodles, without rice or any grain products; homemade biscuits or bakery bread with butter; homemade pudding or custard, and ingredients well cooked; well cooked fish or seafood; fresh green vegetables in perfect condition; cooked vegetables with olive oil and salt; canned beans, any variety; baked or boiled potato (don't eat skin) with olive oil and salt; hot water with whipping cream and cinnamon; perfectly unblemished banana; water with lemon.

Toxicity from mold usually last 3 weeks. Sometimes the damage is only seen after 3 weeks.
