When cooking ribs on a charcoal grill start by heating the grill to 250 degree Fahrenheit. Then depending on the amount as well as the thickness ribs can take anywhere from 2 to 4 hours total cooking time over direct heat.
Since barbecue is cooked at such low temperatures, the cooking times are very long. Cooking times can be between 45 minutes to 1 hour and 15 minutes per pound. This means that a 10 pound beef brisket can easily take 10 hours to smoke. The smoke provides flavor, color, and aids in the breakdown of connective tissues (collagen) and fats.
Cooked brisket should not be unrefrigerated for more than 2 hours. At that point, it should be re-heated or refrigerated.
Here's an easy recipe: B-B-Q BRISKET OF BEEF Powdered garlic 1 pkg. onion soup mix 1 can coke 1 c. catsup 1 brisket of beef (3 or 4 lb.) Sprinkle brisket with garlic. Mix coke, soup mix and catsup together. Pour mixture over brisket. Bake at 325 degrees for 3 hours (loosely cover pan with tin foil). Take out juice. Cool. Then cut meat in strips and reheat in juice. Good on rolls for a buffet dinner. Source: Cooks . com
It takes six min. per pound.
If an onion is wrapped in foil, it can take an hour.
how many years does it take to digest beef to break down in system
it takes 20 minutes per pound on a Holland Grill ..It will be the best turkey you have ever had !!
A 900 gram beef roast will ideally take one hour to cook.
After browning the brisket (and onions) sufficiently I add vegetables and beef stock to pan. I cover very tightly with aluminum foil and cook at 325 for at least 3 but up to 4 hours. I take out of oven, let pan sit at room temp for 30 minutes and then right to the fridge without removing or opening the foil! Enjoy the next day.
2-4 hours on high and 6 on low.... low tasted better!
About 5 min on each side.
