around 10 minutes if the water is boiling
You would normally time the egg, it takes about 6 to 7 minutes to hard boil a medium size hens egg, the colour of the egg makes no difference to the cooking time. Refresh the egg under cold water once cooked this prevents a black ring forming around the yolk.
If you want a soft boiled dinosaur egg then go for 10min and for hard boiled 15min, obviously the type of dinosaur egg you are using is going to make a difference due to size e.g pterodactyl will not take as long as t-rex.
