Ok,well,learning to play any instruments is not much about ''how long'' to master it,when playing any instrument you never reach an maximum level and you're always improving your technique, when you study something for about 3-4 years you become really good, after 10 years a master, anyway, playing guitar is quite easy, afford a guitar that make you satisfied, if possible carry a friend that understand about Guitars when buying your first guitar,then try to learn basic chords and then tablature , in a few months you play almost everything you need
