Chopped liver is a very easy dish to make. Once you have all the ingredients, cooking time is 25-30 minutes: 5 minutes per batch (pound size) to saute chicken livers in chicken fat (simultaneous with boiling a few eggs), 10 minutes to saute some sweet onions and deglaze the pan with sweet wine or brandy, 1-2 minutes to assemble and chop in the food processor sauted livers, onions, hard boiled eggs, peppers, salt, optionally some parsley and thyme. Then season to taste, and plate. A pleasant looking version is to reserve hard-boiled eggs whites (by cutting hard boiled eggs in half and removing yolks), and stuff them with chopped liver mixture.
