Depends on your school. Mine for example does census checks in the middle of the first month of the semester and after about a week they start dispersing the money. Mine used to give checks out, now every reimbursement is done electronically. With my school I get the entire lumpsome at once. Some schools disperse 1/3 in the beging then the rest at the end or midway. I would check with your financial aid they usually have all the answers you need.
