It obviously depends on the method and equipment, but generally only 2-3 minutes. The best way is simply to put them in a pan, dry, over medium heat and shake them gently as they brown. The built-in oil content in the nuts makes it a quick process. Important: There are literally about 15 seconds from the time they look perfect until they begin to burn, so the best approach is to stand right there without taking your eye off it.
Pine nuts grow in the cones. When the cones open, revealing the nuts, birds and squirrels take the nuts before the cone falls from the tree, so it is very difficult to find pine nuts in the wild.
Pine nuts can be found in the piles of stick that are in the forests. Just click on them, and click search. There are multiple things that you can find in these piles (logs, sticks, worms, and pine nuts) so it may take searching quite a few piles before you find what you are looking for. You may also be able to find them by looking in general stores.

There are seven Pinewoods in the US, none in Wyoming. Wyoming has Pine Bluffs, Pine Haven and Pinedale. Since I'm not really sure where you want to go, I can't tell you how long it will take to get there.
Not if you don't want soil that is really acidic. Pine needles are good for mulching, since they take a long time to break down.
These nuts...lol!!
it once took me 32 hours just to get in... it drives me nuts
