for babbies it takes around 3 weeks- a month. for grown ups about 2 weeks but every parakeet is different. making a chart and keeping track of the days in between helps you know more about YOUR parakeet and how it grows. Make sure when you clip there are NO blood feathers.
1-2 years
It might take about three months????
Yes your bird's tail feathers will grow back. They will begin to grow back when your bird begins molting.
i have cut my budgies wings a little bit to far, but it still grew, but very slowly. I have, 2 parrots,6 lovebirds, 8 budgies, and 1 conure baby birds.
As long as they were pulled completely out and not broken off at the base, they should grow back in. It will take a couple of months or longer, but they should come back.
Yes they will grow back.
It takes about 4-6 weeks for a feather to completely grow back. However, the amount of time depends on the overall health of the bird. It also depends if the feather has been broken off or if it has completely come out. A broken feather never grows back but needs to be shed by the bird during a moult before it regrows. When the flight feathers are clipped it will depend on how long before its next moult as to the time the feathers take to regrow. If the bird has just moulted and is clipped then it will be a few months as opposed to a bird that is clipped just prior to moulting.
As far as i know, this happens to all parakeets, not just females. The stripes disappear because your parakeet is getting older. It's kind of like when a fawn looses the whites spots on his back. It's perfectly normal and there is no problem. :)
yes
Wings on most birds can take up to about four - five months to grow back enough to be of concern.
how long for my macaw to grow back feathers on his head the mother plucked them in the nest box @2 weeks old?
Yes, but the feathers will soon grow back.
You have to be a bird to grow feathers. humans don't grow feathers.
