The Nexplanon contraceptive implant lasts for three years.
Forever or until put out.

The contraceptive implant prevents the normal menstrual cycle. Some patients have irregular bleeding, and others have no bleeding at all.
To make the contraceptive implant stop working, have it removed. You will have immediate return to fertility.
Itching usually means that the tissue inside your arm is still healing. I had mine injected 3 weeks ago and it still itches. Unless the injection site looks infected there shouldn't a problem. Go back to the doctors if it still itches 3 months in, and get it checked out.
If your discharge is associated with pain, odor, painful urination, or itching, see your health care provider.
You can get the implant removed by a women's health care provider or your local family planning center.
Both breastfeeding and the contraceptive implant can prevent bleeding.
