It depends on what the reason for the shots is for - Transplants usually require this type of therapy for the life of the patient.

Immunotherapy usually involves either allergen extracts given to the patients by typical allergic shots or sublingually (drops under the tongue). If you choose to take injections, its a regime of at least 15 weeks of weekly shots, followed by 3 years of monthly injections.
