I have severe neck herniations and am awaiting surgery. In the meantime, therapy and painkillers are the only things that help me. I have been prescribed at least 10 different painkillers in the last two years. With that being said, roxicodone has been my favorite so far. For me, it is the most long-lasting drug- both effect and pain wise. Percocet and vicodin rarely helped me without a soma, and the effects along with the pain control lasted only about 30 min to an hour at best. On the other hand, roxicodone lasted me a good 4-8 hours- which is what most professionals say it should last, depending on your metabolism. Remember, roxicodone is very addictive, but only if taken improperly. If taken appropriately, it is no more addictive then any other narcotic. So be smart, and be safe!

Sure.
Embeda is extended-release morphine (with sequestered naltrexone) and roxicodone is immediate-release oxycodone. Morphine and oxycodone provide similar pain relief if the dose is properly adjusted. Work closely with your pain doctor to adjust the dose and Embeda should work just a well or better than multiple doses of roxicodone.
