From 50K to 100K. It depends on driving habits and conditions.
Years ago, they commonly lasted 25-30 thousand miles. Today's shock absorbers will commonly last 100,000 miles or more, but the companies that make shock absorbers still urge you to get them changed at 25,000 mile intervals - because they're in business to sell shock absorbers.
Depending on the design, some hydraulic shock absorbers can be repaired. In some cases, drilling a hole, draining the old oil, flushing with a lighter oil, and then replacing with standard shock absorber oil, and welding shot the oil may work. But these repairs are usually not long lasting.
Keep them standing inside a box near to humidity absorbers.
I believe you can simply use a deep 9/16 1/2 inch drive socket on a long extension and put the socket on the nut on the shock and simply rock the bar back and forth and break the nut off and the shock will drop down.
It depends upon the severity of the electric shock, among other things.

There is chlorine shock and non chlorine shock. Fo chlorine shock, which is the normal shock, it is the same a s Chlorine but unstabilized, so it will not last in the pool very long.
you will need a new trunk lid cylinder. Those are the things on each side that look like long skinny shock absorbers.

It is important to known how long an earthquake will last so that scientist will know if there will be a bigger one. The bigger earthquakes are called main-shock.
A dodge ram can last up to 200,000 miles. There are many on the road with that many miles still.
