it depends. the average is 2-7 years. i know someone who has leukemia and has got diagnosed about 6 years ago. There is always hope. but that is the average time range that doctors will give you to live.

Since no one can predict anyone's date of death, except GOD, a person with leukemia could possibly live until they die, same as people without leukemia.

However, to speak in statistical terms, you would need to provide the type of leukemia, the stage it is, the age of the person and if the leukemia is treatable. If it is, well, they could outlive you!

Do you have a monetary reason for asking? An inheritance maybe?

There are many different kinds of leukaemia. Some respond better to treatment than others. It also depends, partly, to what stage of the disease the diagnosis was made and treatment started. Other factors include the age of the person and how healthy they were before they were diagnosed. Some countries have better medical services than others and have different treatments available. Someone in a very poor country and who suffers from malnutrition would be more likely to die sooner than a healthy, well nourished person living in a country with modern medicine freely available.

I'm sorry I can't give you a more specific answer, but that's the best I can do without more information.

Leukaemia is not just one disease. There are many different types of leukaemia, some acute and some chronic. Some affect children in particular, some leukaemias affect adults and some affect old people.

So a lot depends on what type of leukaemia a person has, how old they are, how healthy and well nourished they are and at what stage of the disease the diagnosis was made and when treatment was commenced. So a healthy well fed person diagnosed with one of the kinds of leukaemia that responds well to treatment diagnosed very early would have a good chance of complete recovery, but someone who lives in a poor country and who has never had enough to eat and who can't access adequate medical care is much less likely to live for long.

That all depends on the specific diagnosis, treatment , whether it can be put into remission or cured. Untreated, it depends on the severity and type.

What is the chances of living with chronic leukemia for life if you 64 years of age?

If you have leukemia, you WILL be living with it "for life", no matter how long your life happens to be. That said, there are some excellent treatments for leukemia that have extended your expected lifetime by years. (We haven't had them available for long enough to say "decades", but that's certainly possible.) In any event, the newer treatments, in many cases, will let you live long enough to die of something entirely unrelated.
