A mama sea turtle typically lays between 50 to 200 eggs in a single nest, depending on the species. They may nest multiple times in a season, contributing to a total of several hundred eggs laid over that period. After laying eggs, the mother sea turtle returns to the sea, leaving the eggs to incubate in the sand until they hatch.

they um keep the egg warm until the mama penguin returns from her long journey
If the mama duck has been nesting for 5 weeks with no babies yet, it's possible that the eggs are infertile or there may be some other issue preventing them from hatching. You can gently check the eggs to see if they are viable or consult with a wildlife expert for guidance on how to proceed. It's important to monitor and provide support for the mama duck during this time.
They can try, however the eggs will not hatch and no embryos will develop.

I raised some corn snakes a while back, and even though they were in the house, the female laid eggs. The female will appear "pregnant" with developing eggs for about 4 weeks after a successful mating. As soon as those eggs have the membranous shell in place, out they come (12 - 24) and mama pretty much forgets about them. That will be the last of April or first of May, though some will not lay their eggs until June. When they hatch, about 10 weeks later, the babies are on their own.
Yes they do.
the mama bird sits on the eggs to keep them warm
