We the people who watch NCIS pledge to never watch a show produce by Shane Brennan again if Leroy Jethro Gibbs leaves NCIS-One exception to this is NCIS Los Angeles.......in other words as far as viewers know Gibbs is not leaving NCIS.....sorry about the long answer i had a brain storm
No, Duckie did not die in the Season Nine Finale--at least not for certain. He appears to have suffered a stroke or heart attack while walking alone on the beach, and the finale episode ends with his body motionless on the beach, halfway into the surf. He'd just received a phone call alerting him to the terrorist attack on the NCIS Headquarters, and telling him that several staff members and agents have been injured or killed. Because Duckie is alone on the beach (in formal wear following the wedding of his assistant, Jimmy Palmer) there's no one around to save him, apparently. But TV industry news reports that the actor who plays Duckie finally signed another two-year contract with the show, so it's clear that he will still appear on NCIS, but in an altered version of his traditional role. Judging from previews, it appears that Duckie survives at least long enough to reach a hospital. But it also looks as though one of the other major cast members is killed in the explosion. It's not Gibbs, Duckie, or Abby, so it seems likely to be McGee, DiNozzo, or Ziva David (if any major cast members are lost at all). Surely could be Jimmy Palmer. The NCIS producers smacked us with a cliffhanger to end Season 9, of course. Tune in to the Season 10 Premiere on Tues., Sept. 25, 2012 at 8pm on CBS to find out whether Duckie has major health problems related to a stroke (such as needing a wheelchair), fully recovers after some difficulty, or appears posthumously as a kind of muse to one of the characters. The season premiere is billed on CBS as an episode "of sorrow and loss," so it seems likely that somebody will be leaving the show.
The important things that happened are:Gibbs and team rescue Ziva from Salim, a Terrorist in SomaliaPaloma Reynosa, the daughter of the drug lord Gibbs killed long back comes back to kill Gibbs. (gibbs had killed the drug lord because he was responsible for the death of his wife shannon and his daughter kelly)
No, that is played by David McCallum, who also played on "The Man From U.N.C.L.E as Illya Kuryakin. Kate asked one time what Gibbs thought Ducky looked like when he was younger, and Gibbs replied "He looked like Illya Kuryakin", which was an interesting twis as he was that character long ago.

Gibbs was in an explosion on a ship after talking to a terrorist, PinPin Pula who tells him that he is planing to blow up a Navy ship, the Cape Fear I believe. Gibbs survives the explosion but is in a coma for several days. When he wakes up he has no memories for the past 15 years, since he was a Gunny in Desert Storm. Several members of the team, including Jenny and Ducky try to get him to remember which ship the bomb is on, to no avail. Eventually they call in Gibbs old team leader Mike Franks. Franks quit after the Kahal Towers bombing in1996 when his warnings about a possible attack weren't taken seriously. Eventually Ziva goes to Gibbs and takes his hand and uses it to head slap herself, which brings Gibbs memory back. He goes to MTAC and talks to several people and tells them that PinPin Pula wants to blow the Cape Fear, they don't believe him they say that it is more likely that he wants to wait until the ship is near a cruise ship to maximize casualties. Gibbs says that that is not the case, PinPin told him so. They don't believe him and allow the ship to be blown up, killing 19 or 20 people. Gibbs is very hurt over the developments and the needless loss of life and decides to leave the agency.
Yes, as long as the entropy of the universe increases.
