The Broadway musical version of The Lion King premiered in Minneapolis, MN in 1997. It opened on Broadway in NY in 2006, and it's still running today. If you count the touring show that premiered in '97, the show has been running for over 15 years, and is the 7th longest-running Broadway show in history!

I do not believe so. Aladdin has been made into a play, however I do not believe that it was written by Disney due to it's absence on their "live events" web page and because the legnth of the play is 65 minutes, which is short when compared to Disney's Mary Poppins and The Lion King.
