How long after knee repalcement does it heal?

You need as much as you can get...really, the more you move the new knee the better it will serve you. A physical therapist can help you with the rehab in the hospital & after you are out. It takes a good couple months to get to the full bend mode, it is slow recovery for most...although some people breeze through. It takes almost a full year before you feel the new knee is your own. I had my right knee done 14 mos. ago and just last month had my left knee done. I would recommend doing the knees at time apart so you can use one leg to get to the bathroom & into the shower seat, etc. You have to keep the muscles in shape to support your new knee. I might add that after surgery, the muscles tune out for awhile & it is important to start movement asap.

How long is the typical recovery period for knee joint surgery?

Knee joint surgery recovery can be as little as two weeks and as much as two months. The recovery time depends on the age, amount of invasive surgery needed, physical therapy needed, age of patient and pain management. Preparing for a surgery by increasing the amount of protein in the diet, taking supplements and staying active can reduce the amount of physical downtime after the procedure.

How long does a dislocated knee take to heal?

The healing time for a dislocated knee depends on the severity of the injury. Most knee dislocations result in the tearing or rupturing of a tendon. In this case, surgery is most likely necessary. This usually has the longer healing process. The time period is usually about a year ..with the surgery and physical rehabilitation. Full recovery of the knee (return to the previous, strong state) could even take longer. The dislocations that may not require surgery could take 6 months. Again, total recovery could mean more time.

How do you change the automatic transmission fluid in a 2005 outback?

Approx 30,000 miles. Instructions: There is a #70 torx bolt in the transmission to drain the fluid. You will need to purchase a new transmission bolt washer from the dealer before removing the bolt. Place a drain pan under the car and remove the bolt. Drain the fluid, replace the washer on the drain bolt, clean the drain bolt, reinstall the the drain bolt and fill with the same amount of Subaru transmission fluid that you drained. This should be around 3.5 to 4 quarts. If the transmission fluid has not been changed for a long time, drive the car and then repeat this process two more times. This is to change fluid trapped in the transmission. Not all of the fluid comes out each time the transmission is drained. On some models the filter is on the side of the transmission and can be spun off and changed. on other models it is internal. The manual states internal filter does not need to be changed.

Where do you put new transmission fluid in Mazda 626 manual Transmission 1996?

AnswerThe same place that you drain it. You will need a funnel and a long piece of preferrably clear hose to fit on the end of the funnel. You feed that hose into the drain hole of the transmission, while you sit the funnel in the engine compartment and slowly fill. You can check the level of fluid by inserting your finger into the drain hole of the transmission. Keep filling until you can feel the level of oil with your finger. The tranny requires 75W/90 gear oil.Where do you drain the fluid?

How do you change transmission fluid in a '95 Honda Civic LX?

The drain plug for the transmission is on the under side of the tranny, pretty much directly across from the engine oil drain plug. Drain the transmission fluid and put the drain plug back in. To refill, find the transmission oil dipstick. It is located on the passenger side of the engine compartment(on the back side of the tranny). Get a long funnel to fit down in that hole and fill with aprox. 3 quarts of transmission fluid. Warm engine and turn it off. Check the fluid level within a minute of shutting the engine off.

What is long term recovery?

Long term recovery is where the recovery has taken place over a long stretch of time. It took a long time to recover. I.E. if Thierry Henry broke his leg, and it took him 8 months to recover, that would be long term recovery
