Here is the official website stating Ohio gets total of 99 weeks of unemployment if eligible (as of Nov. 29, 2010): Check the Related Link below.
If you are initially approved for unemployment benefits in Ohio you may collect benefits for 26 weeks, providing you meet all eligibility requests each week. After you exhaust your initial 26 weeks, you may qualify for Federal Extended unemployment benefits. If approved, your weekly benefit amount will remain the same. This is called the Tier 1 program. If you still were actively seeking, but unable to seek employment within the Tier 1 program you may qualify for the Tier 2 program, which may be a lower benefit amount than the initial 26 weeks or the Tier 1 program.
On Friday, November 21, 2008, the federal "Unemployment Compensation Extension Act of 2008" was signed into law. This act extended Emergency Unemployment Compensation benefits from 13 to 20 weeks. It also provided for an additional 13 weeks of federal compensation for individuals in states with high unemployment rates, including Ohio.
To the best of my knowledge, as of this moment (April 12, 2009), the only extensions effective in Ohio are the Tier 1 (13 week - passed in July 2008) and tier 2 (20 week - passed in November 2008) extensions. The same ones passed during the Bush Administration.
The only things that have changed in Ohio recently are:
1) The filing deadlines have been extended. This only effects those who have not yet filed for unemployment.
2) An extra $25 a week. The state expects to start sending this out sometime after the week ending April 18. The payments will be retroactive to Feb 22 2009.
3) $2400 of unemployment compensation is not taxed by the IRS.
That's it. No new weeks. Whatever your benefit expiration date was when Obama took office, it still is.
13 weeks of regular benefit , maximum of 20 weeks including emergency benefits

If Ohio does get the unemployment extension, it will only be 7 weeks. Some states that have a high unemployment rate (6% or higher) will get 13 weeks. edit: This answer is incorrect. Ohio's current unemployment rate is 7.3%, so Ohio qualifies for the full 13 weeks. http://money.cnn.com/pf/features/lists/state_unemployment/index.html

Ohio is one of the states in which unemployment compensation is fully taxed. In Ohio, unemployment compensation is treated the same as a type of income, therefore income taxes are paid.
