For as long as it remains serviceable. Tires are part of your daily pre-trip and post-trip inspection. When your tread depth gets too low, the cap starts to fail, you get excessive wear, etc., you should know it's time to replace it.
Tha main difference between a truck and a car tire is that a truck tire is going to bi bigger and more heavy duty. Most trucks are seen working and hauling stuff that a car cannot and that is why they make the tires more heavy duty.
A 20 inch LT ( Light Truck ) tire could weigh 35 pounds. A Medium or heavy truck tire 75 pounds. A car tire 12 to 15 pounds depending on size, tread model and manufacturer.
As long as the circumferance of the tires is very similar you won't have a problem. Make sure the tires are the same load rating also.
There is a seam in the tire
A dog can bite a truck tire, however it can't perforate the tire, even a lion could not do that.
The spare tire is under the rear of the truck.
If you have run-flats, you can drive for up to 300 miles under 50 mph and be fine. With a typical flat tire, it is not considered safe to drive, and you should call to get a pick up truck if possible.
The spare is probably stored under the truck. there should b a hole next to the lisence plates. You use your tire iron put it in the hole and twist it to lower the tire down. then use the tire iron to lift it back up under the truck.
If you want an aggressive all year around light truck tire to use on a 2003 Hyundai santa fe, you could use any truck tire as long as it's the right size. If you've messed with the suspension or anything the tire size may be different.
Truck tires may require special kinds depending on what you need to use the truck for. Heavy duty trucks may require all-weather tires or larger tires for mud.
The valve stem should last at least as long as the tire.
