AT LEAST 24 HOURS, BUT YOU CAN GIVE ICE CUBES WHEN IT COMES HOME FROM THE VET, ICE CUBES INSTEAD OF WATER HELP PREVENT VOMITING, AFTER 24 HOURS JUST A LITTLE FOOD SEVERAL TIMES THROUGH OUT THE DAY, DONT OVER DO IT.
