There is no set "time frame", so to say. It all really depends on the individual and the severity. A person who is bingeing and purging (especially purging hard, to the point of exhaustion or blood) many times a day is at a high risk of death from a stomach or esophogus rupture, electroylte imbalance, or heart complication than a person who rarely b/p.
Charles has been Bulimic since he was 13 years of age, he has attended psychiatric counselling who laughed when he described how he simply was copying the Romans who ticked their throats with a feather to purge then start feasting again, Bulimia makes men aggressive and violent, they don't like women and you cant say anything to them as they see all constructive comments as a personal attack. they lie and cheat, they will create hell with kids at home. He is now 58 and still going strong. My advice ask before you marry one because I can assure you LIFE is hell living with one .
far too long, and slow and miserable a death. Please learn to love yourself.
I don't know how long it takes but you can go years with an eating disorder although it will slowly damage your health. I currently am having a relapse with bulimia and it is just as much in your mind and controlling of you as anorexia is. People with anorexia choose not to eat even though they are hungry because of the intense fear bulimia is the same way except we purge the food. We don't want to do it but we are so scared we don't know what else to do.
Bulimics can easily live a full life (up to age 70 to 80, which is roughly average). If the disorder progresses, however, without treatment, then the person runs the risk of dying younger due to infection, disease, or complications as a result of the disorder.
you can last up to two weeks without water and 4 weeks without food.

A long long time especially if you are bored.
You can increase unhealthy risks by a lot, you can become depressed, you can become ill, and if it's really bad you can die.
