For me, the first question is always, "why did that part fail?"
Rear mains often fail because of a condition called "blowby"... that's when the rings wear to the point that exhaust gas leaks past, into the crankcase, building pressure that pushes against the seal.
If "blowby" is causing your problem, you'll need to do the entire engine. If it's JUST the seal, it will take 7 or 8 hours to R&R the engine so you can get to the seal. The seal itself isn't difficult, but that engine barely fits under the hood.
