Turn the grill on...butter the corn,place it on the grill. then check it in about 10 minutes and see if its golden or has black stripes on it then let it cool for 2 minutes then eat...Ok I think you know by now I don't know how to cook fresh corn on a grill so sorry I couldnt help you Im only 13 xDD Fire up the grill. When ready put the corn with husks on on the grill. Some people soak the corn before hand. Takes about a half hour to cook.

Rub some butter or salt on them, wrap in foil & cook on low heat. The foil will insulate the kernels (not near as good as the husk) but only works on low heat because the kernels will still burn if touched. It's best to leave the husk on, if you can't find them in your local produce department like this, then ask the produce guys to get you some.

You are better off parboiling it for five minutes after boiling before you put it on the grill. If you try to cook naked ears on the grill you will burn them. Once you put them on the grill (indirect heat) baste them with a butter and pepper mixture. Roast them until the kernels begin to brown, no more than 10 minutes, rolling the ears as they roast.

I cook it on the grill in two different ways. If it has the shuck on, I soak in water and place on the grill until the outsides get crispy, then shuck it. Or you can lightly butter or oil it and grill the cobs directly on the grill. Your grill has to be really clean to do that.
