I assume you are in the US but can only tell you what it is in Australia. Basically you have to complete engineering bachelor which is 4 years, 5 with a double. Then do a masters, 1 to 2 years, then do your PhD which is usually 3 years. If you are going to do a PhD think why you want it. If you are into research then go ahead, it will go naturally but if you are just getting the title then I think you can spend the time a bit better on something else. =)
It's the same thing. If you have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, you have a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
You can obtain aBachelor's Degree (BSME), Masters Degree (MSME or MSE-ME), and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mechanical Engineering.
Electrical and Electronic Engineering degree
You can get an engineering degree at almost all colleges and universities. You also have the choice to study and earn your degree online. NJIT and MIT are both great schools.
The exact answer depends on the program and the school, but if you already have a BS degree then you usually need to complete those courses in the engineering degree that you don't have from the chemistry degree. Since the degree means you have completed your 'general education' requirements, the classes you would take would be the ones specifically for the engineering degree (i.e. in engineering). The other course work would have already been counted.
Engineering Degree
doctorate degree
A doctorate will take approximately four years post bachelor's degree.
The former is the usual form: I have a doctorate.
Typically, a doctorate takes approximately four years beyond a bachelors degree.
Armstrong obtained a BS degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Purdue in 1955, and he earned his doctorate from the University of Southern California in 1970, after he walked on the moon. After earning his doctorate, he began teaching aerospace engineering at the University of Cincinnatti.
Engineering is a field or subject to be studied, a doctorate is a qualification in a field of study.
An individual enrolled in an engineering program can be at the undergraduate level, or graduate level. Undergraduate level - bachelors degree Graduate level - masters or doctorate (PhD)

It is a doctorate degree, not doctorian. A doctorate degree is the highest level of academic degree.
it is supposed to take 9-11 years :P
All technical consultants must have a bachelors degree in science or engineering. Many people in this area also have a master's degree or even a doctorate.
