40 days and 40 nights. Back then 40 days was used to describe a very long time so it may have been longer
Yes about 350 million years ago scientists expect that the world was 97% under water for many years.
The entire earth was covered in the flood of Noah's day, so all cities at the time were flooded.
According to the biblical account, it appears that Noah's Flood covered the entire Earth, to a depth of several kilometres. Genesis 7:19-20 19And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered. 20Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered.
Noah escaped the big flood, that destroyed the earth.
I think it was Noah... try googling noah and hal (hal was the son who covered him, i think :S)
Noah's Ark Water Park was created in 1979.
The rains sent by god lasted for exactly 40 days and 40 nights. After that the rain stopped. And all the land was covered with water.
Genesis ch.6-9 1) God spoke to him and acknowledged his righteousness2) God preserved Noah and his family during the Flood 3) God promised to repopulate the Earth through Noah's sons and daughters-in-law 4) God was pleased with the burnt-offering that Noah offered up
In Genesis 7 we are told that "all the fountains of the deep were broken up and the windows of heaven were opened" thus producing rain and flooding that covered the whole earth and the rain continued for 40 days and 40 nights. In Genesis 7:24 we learn that the waters continued to cover the earth for 150 days after the rain stopped. In Genesis 8 God sent a wind to pass over the whole earth thereby causing the water to evaporate (a physical law still in effect today) and suspend in the atmosphere as clouds. The water receded into the fountains of the deep from where they came and after the time stated, Noah and his family was able to walk out on dry land. All of the water that rained and flooded during this time is still here but climate change wasn't the only thing that happened to the earth after the flood. There is good evidence that all of the land mass on earth was in one piece. Sometime after the flood it was broken up into what we have today. Plate Tectonics explains, or proves, this to be a reality. Therefore the mountain ranges we have now were not as high as they are today so were God to flood the earth again (which He promised never to again-see Genesis 9) the entire earth could not be covered over with water. Finally, the rainbow is God's sign of this promise to never flood the earth again.
God's first covenant was with noah, stating that he will never destroy the earth with water again and established the rainbow as a promise.
Probably sometime in the Garden of Eden...or during Noah's Flood. I don't think anyone realy knows.
He is real or we wont be here Scientist have found proof of a great flood that covered the entire earth so this leads to that Noah was a part of it. The story therefore would seem to be 100% real but I guess it depends on what you want to believe.
