Firstly remember that lengths of dinosaurs are estimates.

Not all dinosaurs are complete and even if they are, different assumptions about how much inter-vertebral cartilage they have effect the length estimate.

A T.rex specimen, nicknamed 'Sue' is very complete and estimated at about 12.8m long.

There may be fragmentary T.rex specimens that 'might' have been longer.
