The earliest evidence of Persian culture dates back to around 3200 BCE. The Persians are still around. Today they are called Iranians.

They are still around. Persians live mainly in Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, and the ones who live in diaspora. The Persian empire, however, does not exist anymore. It was limited to the Kingdom of Persia and later the name was changed to Iran.
