This my personal input. I have three Cummins power Dodge truck. 1991 with 340,00 miles. 1996 with 240,000 miles. 1998 24 valve with 170,000. and all are still going strong.
The "Dodge" diesel is actually a Cummins heavy truck engine. With proper maintenance, it should last about 250,000 miles. The injectors will need replacing every 100,000 miles.
2006 was the last year of the best Diesel ever made 5.9 cummins engine 2003 was the last 5.9L V8
I have seen 5.9L Cummins at 750,000 + miles. One I have seen actually had over 1,000,000 miles.

I would say 500,000 is average for the engine. I do not agree about the injectors. The truck will wear out before the engine does.
Depends on what the transmission is. Bear in mind that Cummins engines can be found in 3/4 ton Dodge pickups and semi trucks alike.
No, with proper maintenance they will last past 500,000 miles.
Assuming it's properly maintained, there's no reason it shouldn't last 200,000 miles or so before any major service
If well taken care of 900,000+ miles, if not 500,000 miles, that's stats on the first generation ones though.
the 09 dodge has an okay engine don't get the 10-11 years because the older dodges have the 5.9 liter the new dodges have the 6.7 liter and they don't last as long as the 5.9.
2003 was the last year for the 7.3 Diesel. Best diesel engine ford ever put out.
A big cam 350 probably refers to a cummins diesel engine. Cummins diesel engines had a reputation for cam failure in the past, and the company came out with a fix they called the big cam series of engines, which means the cam bearings, lobes, followers etc were made bigger to last longer C
It all depends on the conditions in which you run the engine how you service it. if you do all your regular serviceing i have seen the with over 800k on the original engine and still going strong and i have worked at a Dodge dealer for 5 years. i have also seen some that have not been looked after not make it to 150k. with proper maintnce the engine will be the last thing to go on those trucks.
