This depends on many factors. The swelling is due to the tissue of the arm being damaged. It is possible to break the arm and not do enough damage to the muscles and skin to have any swelling, but it isn't likely. The length of time is also variable and could be anything from a day to several days.

Yes, swelling of your fingers when you have a broken arm in a cast is almost inevitable.
You should keep your arm elevated much of the time (your hand should be higher than your heart, which is easier when lying down), especially for the first few days.

You might also take an NSAID, like ibuprofen, to help keep the swelling down.

How long does it take for the swelling to go down on my spiderbite piercings?

Well your piercer should have told you how long the swelling would take to go down, as well as having provided you with written aftercare instructions. I need to telly you that the piercing you have will reject (you should have been told that as well). Hand web piercings never stay and always reject. There should be no actual swelling, if there is there could be a serious problem with how the piercing was done. Contact your piercer.
