Unless it was specifically designed to be shelf stable - which should be indicated on the package - it should not be left unrefrigerated for more than the short period of time it takes to get it home from the store.

∙ 12y agoIf the bacon is kept in a chilled state such as a refrigerator the bacon can last about 5 days. It also depends on the shelf life and what that is of course. It that date has past or is close to being up then the life of the open packet can shorten.
