This depends on how we use up our trees, how slow or fast. We'll have them even longer if eveerybody recycles and reuses their Natural Resources.
Depends on how big the forest is, the location (eg. flat terrain, mountainous terrain).
Normally cultivated forests - plantations grown for wood or paper (normally pine or eucalyptus trees) are harvested when the plants are about 20 to 30 years old; this does however depends on what the wood is to be used for. For example if the trees are being produced for poles then they would be harvested earlier (when they are still thin).

Put barbs on your tree. Chop your tree down! ;]
A copper nail can kill a tree. The tree can be killed if the nail is driven into the trunk causing the proper growth to be interfered with. Some trees may be strong enough to not be affected by the copper nail.
get a tree chop it down yell tember and put it in a mill
It took too long to chop the tree down and cut it up. In order to get crops in quickly, they would kill the trees quickly so that the crop could get enough sun to grow. Then as they had time, they would cut the trees down for firewood and lumber.

You cannot chop a tree down with a knitting needle as the needle does not have a sharp edge. You could bore it down if you lived long enough.
