It depends on list of factors like
1) Country where you do your PhD in India, US average period is 5years, But in European countries like Germany, Swiss it is around 3 years
2) Depends upon your Guide. Some allow you to go in 3 years, few need at least 2 publication from you and off course the nature of the guide even for personal reason they may extend your PhD time.
3) Nature of your subject and work. for instance if you working on generating mice then it takes long time to generate it and to analysis. If working the same project in cell line you finish in short time.
4)Last but not least your commitment, handwork, problem solving capability, interaction with your guide to solve problem.
So this few thing which determine the time of your PhD in Biology

A bachelor's degree in most areas can require between 120 to 128 college credits particular to a specific program of study. This would be based on a college or university that operates on a regular two semester academic year which is the most common. For institutions that operate on a tri-semester or quarter-semester it would be quite different. That being said, the Bachelor's degree - in most cases - is designed as a four year program of study, provided the student is full-time and follows their chosen program of study as prescribed by the college or university, and also provided the individual does not require prerequisite or developmental coursework as a result of basic skills testing. The minimum credit load for a full-time student is no less than 12 credits per semester. However, to complete the degree within the four years, a credit load of approximately 15 to 18 credits is recommended. For individuals who work or who have other responsibilities that would prohibit them from attending full-time, completion of the degree may take twice as long. Still, some of this time can be cut down by attending summer sessions and/or interim sessions. In addition, the bachelors and associate degrees are referred to as undergraduate degrees while the masters and doctorate degrees referred to as graduate degrees.
It doesn't take any time to major in biology. Get accepted to a college or university, declare your major to be biology, and there you go. However to graduate with a degree in biology is a different story. To graduate with an associate degree in biology will take two years. A B.S. Degree will generally take four.
My bother is becoming a wildlife biologist and he is doing the normal 4 years of college then getting a masters or whatever at another college for 1 or 2 years. Sorry, I don't know about an oceanographer though! :)
In case the subject goes well with you it would take a year to 2 to become an outstanding specialist in the matter.Which is well different from university study, where they can make you 1 in 4 years
In Europe it takes 5 years. First you get a Bachelor of Science degree in 3 years, next another two years and you will become a Master of Science.

In general, you will most likely need a PhD, or at least a master's degree in a Biological or Environmental Science. Many universities offer these programs. You will need to research these in your area. Not all universities offer graduate programs, so ask about that, too. Your undergraduate degree will likely need to be either in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or Public Policy. Environmental Science is a very hot field right now, and prospects are good for employment. Most positions will be in the government, which are stable, but not necessarily high paying (but can be very rewarding). After working for a government for a few years you may have the opportunity to move into the private sector in Environmental Consulting firms, where the pay will be higher, but the hours longer, and possibly have less satisfying work. Think more about what exactly you might want to do, ask your teachers and parents for advice, and go for it.

If you need 15 credits hours, and your attending a college or university that operates on a regular two semester academic year, you can finish the degree in one semester as a full-time student.
The duration of Bad Biology is 1.42 hours.
Typically, an associate's or 2-year degree requires 60 credit hours of study (half a bachelor's degree, typically 120 hours) but may vary a bit more or less depending on the area of study and courses required.
usually around 120 credit hours. depending on the major.
Graduation with a DEGREE from an accredited 4 year college/university.
Between 60 and 64 credits depending on the program of study.
The type of light bulbs thyat are needed for pathway lighting are LED pathway lights with a motion sensor. They come in a frosted glass finish lasting up to 100,000 hours.
In my AP Biology class we get anywhere from 30 minutes up to 7 hours. It is usually around 1-2 hours though.
To complete the Associates degree, the number of credits will be approximately 64, depending on the specific program of study. Some programs require more (usually in the Allied Health field).Viper1
