This is not a limbo dance. Of course some WEAR (damage) is caused to any engine as it runs. The less oil, the more heat, more heat breaks down the remaining oil's lubricating characteristics even more, so even more wear. Unless you go really low, and not notice the engine temperature shoot way up, and keep driving till your egine is irreversibly damaged. well when you add oil, all should be ok. If the oils was really low you may be well to change filter and do an oil change, but first add oil of course to flush, or there won't be as much tiny damge- causing particles flushed out Now asking this question, did you already go relaly low on oil and are worried about engine damage, or you want to check your oil less often on an engine that burns or leaks oil? or some other reason? All good....MENOK
Located in the front of the engine compartment between the radiator and the engine.
Use 10W30 for low miles but for others use a higher weight.
low gas mileage, engine miss-fireing,or engine not runing at right rpm.try a fuel cleaner it may help , but not a cure

I haven't looked at one, but you should be able to find the filter near the oil pan low on the engine block.

Right side engine compartment near firewall. hope this helps.
For most GM vehicles, the low side is either on or adjacent to the receiver/dryer. That's the big, aluminum can that's on the passenger side firewall in the engine compartment.
12 volts DC (nominal). It's the voltage of the battery which will vary from a low of about 11 to a high of about 14 when the engine is running.
The Freon low pressure port is located on the passenger side of the engine near the back. It is made into an aluminum pipe connected to the ac hoses.
Oil PRESSURE is an indication of the condition of the engine's bearings. If the oil pressure is low, the engine is about ready to quit.
