I cannot say that I ever heard of the Nova concurs, until the mid, to late 70's. Now, in 67, I know they made a Canadian version of the Nova. I think it was called the "Arcadia" maybe. Anyway, it had a different front end on it. An L-72 version went accross the auction block at Barret Jackson, I think, recently. Not too many of those were made, and with the weather, I doubt many are left..

Yes there is room for it to fit.
There is a VIN located on the door post of the 1967 Chevy Nova. There is also one located under the left front fender that can be seen if the fender is removed.
