Firstly Australias army aren't called troops they are called diggers. Australia has lost 30 diggers and over 300 have been seriously wounded.
Many more troops would have died on the beaches. Many paratroops would have been lost and spread over vast areas.
Remember the Alamo!
The soilders were very badly wounded and they lost their shoes and they got frostbite.
US Troops were not used to the climate/humidity. The United States' lost four thousand soldiers. The Philippine's lost one million civilians and soldiers.
I suppose you mean the NORMANDY invasion. There were hundreds of D-Days in World War 2. The Germans lost on the Operation Overlord's Normandy Invasion on June 6, 1944.
America lost 80,000 troops and 700 tanks Germany lost 100,000 troops and 700 tanks
british troops lost interest in the war

You would really have to re-define that question to get an answer you want.On D-Day itself, 6th June 1944, 1,465 American troops lost their lives. D-Day was ONLY the 6th June. Subsequent days were known as D+1, D+2 and so on. The beaches were used for continued landings for almost a month before European ports came into use. Each day more American servicemen lost their lives, but this was not strictly D-Day if it happened after 6 June.
