hard question to answer. as to put blame on depression may have contributed to the death but not the main reason , such as suicide .starvation , murder. robbery all these may cause death . but can you blame them directly to the depression? i doubt it

From what I have read on-line, estimates are between 9 and 12 million. We could see this happen again when there is economic collapse leading to a run on the banks, and grocery stores. We live in a world today were many people do not have the patience to stand in food lines, not that FEMA can feed us all anyways. Another negative factor is the "just-in-time" supply chain today.
