Masons do not share any specific religion or belief structure. Masons may be Baptist, Buddhist, or any other belief that believes in the brotherhood of man. The largest portion are Christian.
No, for the simple reason that Freemasonry does not have a central charismatic figure that Masons obey or exalt; nor does it require that Masons put Freemasonry before their job, family or God. First, let me tell you my opinion about the Masons. Masons are a bunch of smart people who like to talk with the members of their club about things that are important to them. Everything else you hear, is most likely a conspiracy. I am NOT saying that it is impossible for the Masons to have bad things going on in their club, but I find that idea highly unlikely. Now, back to your question, I think that the Masons have some sort of support from the government in some way. There are MANY people in the government who are Masons. 15 of our presidents were Masons.
