The Canadian Forces fought the Nazi forces on the ground the most. There were some pilots but must of the Canadian Forces fought the Nazi army. There were many infantry members, tank soldiers, "spies", some Naval sailors and aviators.They fought in Africa, Italy, France, Germany and other European nations with all the rest of the allied forces. They did a superb job and received many medals.

There were many different forces, British, Canadian and American paratroops, British, Canadian And American infantry, British and American Special Forces, British, American and Canadian Armoured units . They were all up against almost twice there number of well dug in Germans, but the German command structure was in disarray. The Germans had tank units that were held back by Hitler himself in case needed elsewhere.
The Allied forces that landed were American, British and Canadian soldiers with smaller elements from many of the other Allied countries.
