had about 7.5 million casualties, China had 10 million, Poland had 5 million
and Germany lost more than 3.5 million civilians in WW-2.
Around 7 millions civilians lost their lives in World War 1. Most of these deaths were due to disease and malnutrition.
There were about 9.7 million military men killed and 6.8 civilians. Total about 16 million people died in this war.
I found one figure that said under 2 million total deaths have been lost in the war but it did not state if the figure included the civilians too. I would imagine it is over two million. I say that because we also lost a lot to disease, fire, starvation and exposure during wars that were not the result of firepower.
