Best Answer

There are 1024 gigabytes in a terabyte

And 1024 terabytes in a petabyte

So there are 10242 or 1 048 676 gigabytes in 1 petabyte.

Interesting side note: It is said that Google processes 20 petabytes of data every day.

1 MB = 1024 KB so its and 1024 MB = 1 GB and 1024 GB = 1 TB

so its basically 1024KBx1024=1024MB and 1024MBx1024=1024GB/1TB

backtracked this is 1.073.741.824KB

the simplest one is basically 1024x1024x1024

Can anyone explain how to work out how many gigabytes in petabyte?

There are 1,000,000 GB in one PB. 1 = byte 1,000 = kilobyte 1,000,000 = megabyte (million) 1,000,000,000 = gigabyte (billion) 1,000,000,000,000 = terabyte (trillion) 1,000,000,000,000,000 = petabyte (quadrillion)

How many petabytes in a gigabyte?

There are exactly 1 million gigabytes in a petabyte.1 petabyte (PB) = 1,000,000 gigabyte (GB)There are similar units based on powers of two instead of powers of ten, but at these large sizes, they are very rarely used, if ever:1 pebibyte (PiB) = 1,048,576 gibibytes (GiB).

0.003024 PB = 3024 GB Just for a better estimate, it is closer and more accurate to say it is about 3.024 TB. One Terabyte is HUGE, let alone a Petabyte. But you should look up a YottaByte (YB)!

What comes after a TB?

PB or petabyte which is 1024TB or 1000TB depending what you are talking about. I believe the question is on Hard disk Space, hence, it starts with a Byte (byte) Kilobyte (KB) = 1024 Bytes Megabyte (MB) = 1024 KB Gigabyte (GB) = 1024 MB Terabyte (TB) = 1024 GB Petabyte (PB) = 1024 TB Exabyte (EB) = 1024 PB Zettabyte (ZB) = 1024 EB Yottabyte (YB) = 1024 ZB Keep multiplying by 1024 to get the next unit.

What is 10 PB?

It most likely means 10 petabytes. A petabyte is 1000 gigabytes. So 10 petabytes is about 10995116277760 kilabytes.
