In business there is no room for ethics. --------------------- An example might be a situation where the law allows you to work your labor for a virtually unlimited number of hours. It's legal but not ethical. Another example might be firing workers who were injured on the job, may be legal but not ethical. Another example, paying women lower pay for the same work, just because they are women. Legal in many cases but not ethical.
The average business employee works anywhere from 6 - 8+ hours per day.
On the average. A driver will work typical business hours. 7 AM to 5PM. Or until the truck is empty.
Different business owners work different amounts of time. Some, when setting out, may work considerably more than 12 hours a day, 7 days a week. On the other hand, I have retired after 30+ years of employment and am now an owner of a very small business. I work an average of 10-hours per week.
