All NHRA certified strips are 1320 feet in length. After the death of Scott Kalitta the NHRA restricted Top Fuel Dragsters and Funny Cars to 1000 feet in an attempt to slow them down and provide for a longer shutdown area.
Officially a quarter mile, however, some tracks have shortened to an eighth mile for safety, and fuel consumtion reasons. All your NHRA major events will be a quarter mile though.
