There should only be one. Generally on 80's T-Birds it is on the fuel line between the engine and tank, usually close to the tank. That's one of the reason's I love my 85 T-bird, ONE fuel filter on the OUTSIDE of the tank. Mine is behind the rear axle on the passenger's side.
