There are two schemes for assigning names to the various areas of the abdomen. One scheme uses nine regions, and the other uses four quadrants.

These are the general organs that lie within the abdominal cavity. The stomach, small intestine, large intestine, spleen, live, gallbladder. In the retroperitoneal area of the abdominal cavity, pancreas, kidneys, and adrenal glands.
I do not think that word means what you think it means. A hypochondriac is someone who imagines that he or she is sick. It's not a part of the body.
Anatomists prefer abdominopelvic regions because this is where many of the key organs are. Medical personnel favor quadrants because they are easy access.
