The city of Rome is the biggest archaeological site in the world. There are ruins all over the Patine Hill. There are the ruins of the Roman Forum the Forum Of Caesar the Forum of Trajan, the Forum of Augustus and the Forum of Nerva. There are the Column of Trajan and the Column of Marcus Aurelius. There are the scant remnants of the Circus Maximus. There are ruins of temples by the river Tiber. There is the Colosseum and the Arch of Constantine next to it. There are the ruins of the Baths of Caracalla and the Baths of Diocletian. A big stretch of the Aurelian Walls and many of its gates are still intact and there is a fragment of the Servian Walls. There are ruins of aqueducts. A long stretch of the Appian Way is still intact. There are ruins of the villa of Livia. At Tivoli, just east of Rome, there are the ruins of the villa of Hadrian. At Ostia, just to the west, there are ruins of the market of the port. And there is more. The list is endless.
