Most of the animals in Australia are harmless. There are a few Spiders that are dangerous, and some ocean critters. Box Jellyfish are the most dangerous ocean creatures, in my opinion. They have enough poison to kill up to 400 people. Shark attatcks don't happen very often, only a few a year. So long as you are careful, and don't try to handle the wild life, you will be safe!
